About Us

Greenfield Elementary School provides English and French Immersion programs for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Our student population is approximately 330 students with a teaching staff of 27, six educational assistants, and four non-instructional staff. As an elementary school, we offer Core French to our Grade 4-6 English students, physical education, music, library and computer to all grades. We have resource support for students in both English and French Immersion, as well as Reading Recovery in both programs, and a full-time School Counsellor.

We have a large green space surrounding our school, providing recreational opportunities for our students and community. Our Home and School is currently working on fundraising to refresh and update our playground equipment. Our gymnasium and other facilities are used on a regular basis in the evenings by various community groups which we welcome.

Greenfield is one of the 56 schools of the Public Schools Branch of P.E.I. The PSB serves over 18,000 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The PSB is administered and served by branch-based staff operating from two primary offices in Stratford and Summerside.
